Condition: Lined, minor retouch.

Provenance: From the sitter to her daughter, Amelia Postlethwaite Mandeville [Mrs. Thomas Gleason]; purchased by Roger Griswold Perkins (1874-1936),1923, [...], private Massachusetts collection.

N.B. The sitter was the daughter of Samuel Postlethwaite (1772-1824),a Natchez merchant and president of the Bank of Mississippi in Natchez, and Anne Dunbar (1786-1864).
