N.B. After graduating from Dartmouth College, Yarowsky obtained master's degrees in both philosophy from Columbia University and fine arts from the California College of Arts in Oakland. (1) He taught at the San Francisco Art Institute and served as Dean prior to becoming a professor of art practice and criticism at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, where he taught from 1975 to 2005.
