A Grand Outdoor Ceremony, Possibly the Coronation of Louis XVI
Signed "...Duplessis Bertaux" l.l., inscribed "A LOUIS XVI" within the composition,
with a label from M. Knoedler & Co., New York, affixed to the backing paper.
Watercolor on paper/board, sight size 18 3/8 x 23 3/8 in. (46.5 x 59.5 cm), framed.
Condition: Toning, subtle rippling and foxing, not examined out of frame.

N.B. The inscription "A LOUIS XVI" appears as part of the composition, in a roundel in the canopy u.c.
