Signed "Raoul Dufy" l.r., inscribed "R. Slatkin" in pencil and with a study of a
head on the reverse, identified on a label from Charles E. Slatkin Galleries, New York, and with a Fogg Art Museum Temporary Loan label affixed to the backing.
Pen and ink on Arches paper, sheet size 25 5/8 x 19 5/8 in. (65.1 x 49.8 cm),framed.
Condition: Mat burn, toning, foxing, paper tape hinged to backing mat.
Provenance: Purchased by Selma H. and Irving M. Sobin, Boston, from Charles E. Slatkin Galleries, April 30, 1960; by family descent to a private New England collection.
