The Fishermen, 1915, published edition of 18 (Paff, 50). Signed "FrankW.Benson." in pencil l.l., numbered "1/50" in pencil l.r. Etching on Shogun paper with watermark, plate size 7 7/8 x 6 in. (19.9 x 15.0 cm),framed.
Condition: Margins 1 1/8 inches or more with deckled edges, unpressed crease to sky u.l. plus additional minor handling creases, staining and thinning to sheet at corner u.l., minor soiling to margins.

Provenance: Descended within the family of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morse of Boston.

N.B. This composition is based on Benson's painting titled Calm Morning of 1904, currently in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The composition depicts the artist's three children - Elisabeth, George, and Eleanor - fishing off of the shores of North Haven Island, Maine.
