Group of Maritime-related Ephemera, 18th-19th century, highlights include a log book of crew and duty assignments and routines attached to the U.S.S. Guerriere leaving New York, December 17, 1871, to join the European squadron; the ship J.L. Hale journal from Newburyport towards New Orleans, beginning October 20, 1857 and other destinations, ending March 28, 18--; "A journal of a voyage On board Ship Ann Maria, commenced June 21st, 1850...Kept by Edward Graves"; a booklet with poetry, remarks of the voyage, belonging to Benjamin S. Olney, "onboard ship ISIS AD 1810"; a 1795 handwritten account of a trial in St. Thomas of Captain Benjamin DeWolfe of the ship Polly in which he is accused of throwing a slave overboard and being inhuman; several letters of correspondence, ship rosters, manifests of cargo, etc.

also including: an 1829 anti-slavery booklet titled "Life and Adventures of Robert the Hermit of Massachusetts; 1816 sailor's citizenship paper; a humerous ficticious "copy of the log book of the "Noble Eunice Ann" Providence, July 18, 1842," with an entry noting that during this expedition Rhode Island was under Martial Law, with later poetic inscriptions; a chart hand inscribed comparing the Gangway Lines following different courses; a large page size segment of a ship's log of Ship "South Boston" from Liverpool to Havannah 1825,c. 1775 "Ship America's Book of Sea-Men Wages advanced" and combined with Ship Samuel's wages; a letter with an Order for china, addressed to Mr. Mark Healy at Central Wharf, be executed in case of the non-arrival of the ship Neponset at Canton; a manifest on board Ship Houqua, at Oahu Nov. 1830; a 1785 printed and inscribed copy of the portage bill for the Sloop "Industry" out of Providence; an 1844 letter from a sailor named Elbridge on the U.S. Navy Stove at Macao, China, asking his father Hon. Isiaih Fisk of Essex Co, N.Y. for a loan; an undated RSVP letter declining an invitation to meet King Kamehameha III on board U.S. ship "United States"; an 1844 explanation of fire on board the Brig William Pitt , Abraham Howes, master with an abstract from the protest; an 1810 custom house at Savannah giving the ok for a ship to proceed; a 1796 Custom house copy the same for the ship Friendship, Henry Olney , captain, out of Rotterdam; an undated Invoice of spices and merch.; a portion of the Singapore Daily times, May 12, 1860.; An undated portage bill from Port of New Orleans of Brig Smyna of Boston; this list is not complete.
