Jean-François jamais ne chante alleluia..., 1923, from MISERERE, published 1948, edition of 425 plus proofs (Wofsy, 132). Signed and dated within the plate. Etching with aquatint and roulette on paper, plate size 23 1/4 x 16 3/4 in. (59.0 x 42.4 cm),framed.
Condition: Staining (primarily along the right and lower edge of the plate mark),bloom to surface of image, unobtrusive rippling, not examined out of frame.

Provenance: Through the family of Eleanor Kanegis Levin, co-owner of Kanegis Gallery in Boston from 1953 to 1961 and the Retina Gallery in Cambridge from 1968 to 1971.
