Sheet with Two Studies: A Tree, and the Upper Part of a Head of the ArtistWearing a Velvet Cap, c. 1642 (Bartsch/Hollstein, 372 only state). Unsigned, collector's marks from Johann Heinrich Albers (Bremen, 1774-1855; Lugt 2714) and George Björklund (b. 1887; Lugt 1138c) on the reverse. Etching and drypoint on laid paper, plate size 3 1/8 x 2 3/8 in. (7.9 x 6.1 cm),matted, unframed.
Condition: Margins approximately 1/16 inch, subtle toning/soiling, annotations to the reverse.
Provenance: A Rhode Island estate.
