Pair of George III Silver Serving Platters, London, 1777, maker's mark WB, likely Walter Brind, oval, with gadrooned rim, engraved at rim with small mottoed coat of arms, lg. 18 1/4 in., approx. 115 troy oz.
Note: The motto, "nil consire sibi" is that of the Saunders family, as well as the Earls of Winchilsea and Earl of Nottingham of the Finch family.
