18kt Gold Quarter-Hour Repeating Demi-Hunter Pocket Watch, Patek Philippe, the enamel dial with Roman numeral indicators, subsidiary seconds dial, enclosing unsigned jeweled gilt movement, within engine-turned case with black enamel Roman numerals and initials WG, 45 mm, (signed only on interior case and cuvette).

Note: Descended in the family of Hope Goddard Iselin, daughter of Colonel William Goddard, a chancellor of Brown University in the late 19th century and investor in manufacturing, railroads, insurance banking, and real estate. The Goddard family and their relatives the Browns were old Rhode Island families, the Goddards being beneficiaries of large 18th century land grants. The Browns were early West Indies and China trade merchants, founders of Brown University, and participants in the enterprise of westward expansion through railroads and mining ventures. Both families are related to Roger Williams, founder of the state.
