Boating on the River. Unsigned. Oil on canvas, 16 x 20 in., in a period molded gilt-gesso frame. Condition: Two small repairs with associated retouch c.l. and u.r., small paint loss u.l.
Literature: This painting is similar in style to one illustrated in Highlights Among the Hudson River Artists, by Clara Endicott Sears, Houghton Mifflin Co., New York, plate no. 6, titled In the Heart of New Hampshire. Sears was the founder of the Fruitlands Museum, Harvard, Massachusetts.
