American Guitar, C.F. Martin & Company, Nazareth, c. 1888, Model O-28, stamped CF MARTIN & CO, NEW YORK on the center strip, at the back of the peghead, and at the upper block, length of back 19 1/16 in., width of lower bout 13 1/2 in., with original "coffin" case.
Estimate $2,800-3,200

Very good condition. Original tuner holes plugged, replacement tuners are c. 1930, possibly Martin factory installed. Very clean inside, bridge plate original and undisturbed. Bridge a 1930's Martin. Finish retouched behind bridge, French Polish over worn area near sound hole. Nut, frets, endpin original. Bridge slightly unglued.
