Title page of the portfolio dedicated, signed and dated "To Gordon and Clara for their 40th anniversary with good wishes, Lotte, Aug 26th," each image signed "Lotte Jacobi" in the matrix l.r. or u.r. Photogravures on paper, 5 x 7 in. (12.7 x 17.8 cm),presented in original cover.
Condition: Subtle toning, very mild wear to corners.
N.B. This lot also includes eight photographic postcards each signed and inscribed by Lotte Jacobi. "In addition to the public holdings of her work, private collectors benefited from her practice of making original, signed photographic postcards of her work. She used these prints as an expression of friendship and was perhaps inspired by the Stieglitz use of postcard prints for his series of cloud pictures, the Equivalents." (1)
