Manner of Raffaello Sanzio (Italian, 1483-1520),Seated Figure, inscribed "Raphaele 103" and "J.F." in ink, conte crayon; Venetian School, 18th Century, The Three Magi, unsigned, ink and wash on paper.
Sheet sizes to 5 1/2 x 3 5/8 in. (13.7 x 9.2 cm),unmatted, unframed.
Condition: Toning, soiling, Figure with top third replaced and affixed to backing at upper corners, Magi with losses to corners.
Provenance: Ex-collection of sculptor John Flaxman.
N.B. A letter from Edward C. Hawks discussing the history of the drawings accompanies the lot.
