Lot of Two Works: Shepherdess and Joyful Woman Dancing. Unsigned. Reverse-painting on glass, c. 1818, 10 1/2 x 8 in., in original carved and molded wooden frames. Condition: Crack to glass at u.l. corner, repaint to oval mat and scattered areas on Shepherdess.

Note: Inscriptions on the reverse read: "Mrs. Caroline Marsh Norton/Her first 2 Pictures Painted on Glafs/As she first commenced Housekeeping/In Goshen Ct in 1818."
