Slender form decorated with yellow flowers and arrowheads in green outlined in black, marks on base include JM for Joseph Meyer, potter; HJ for Harriet Coulter Joor, decorator; NC for Newcomb College, U for white clay and G30, repaired handle, arrested damage, ht. 6 3/4 in.
Provenance: From the family of William E. Roberts. Mr. Roberts's sister was Gertrude Roberts Smith, an early member of the Newcomb College faculty.
