Minton Porcelain Partial Luncheon Service, England, late 19th century, ivory ground with gilt cell border above beaded festoons, consisting of a covered vegetable dish, lg. 12; two oval serving bowls, lg. 9; three oval platters, lg. 11, 13, 15; oval soup tureen underplatter, lg. 13 1/2; two square cake plates, lg. 9 3/4; five soup plates, dia. 10; round vegetable bowl, dia. 8 1/2; covered sauce tureen and stand, lg. 7 1/2; sauce boat, lg. 7 1/4; two lozenge-shaped serving dishes, lg. 9, 9 1/2; ten butter pats, dia. 3 1/8; nine sauce bowls, dia. 5; eleven plates, dia. 7 5/8; seven plates, dia. 9; six plates, dia. 10 in.; nine coffee cups with twelve saucers; two teacups with eleven saucers; and two vegetable tureen covers; printed factory marks.

Provenance: Given to Alice Snow, a member of the Northrup family, by Helen Gould Shepard, the daughter of Jay Gould. The Goulds were at one-time the eighth wealthiest family in America. Purportedly used in the course of entertaining the likes of Mrs. Russell Sage, Mrs. Andrew Carnegie, Susan B. Anthony, Evangeline Booth, and Emma Willard, according to family, the consignors.
