N.B. Scientist, artist, and educator, Harold ³Doc² Edgerton taught at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he invented the stroboscope, high-speed and stop-action photography. In his photographs, including images of bullets, athletic movements, fluids, and hummingbirds, Edgerton applies an artistic aesthetic to his scientific innovations.
