Antoni Tàpies (Spanish, b. 1923)

Gravier, 1971, edition of 75, published by Maeght (Galfetti, 272). Signed "Tapies" in pencil l.r., numbered "31/75" in pencil l.l. Etching with carborundum on paper, sheet size 24 3/4 x 35 1/4 in. (62.8 x 89.4 cm),frame accompanies the lot.
Condition: Pale staining, subtle rippling, not examined out of frame.
Estimate $800-1,200

The staining is very pale, and scattered about, somewhat like large pale fox marks. The work is framed, but has cracked glass. The break to the glass has not effected the print. Although it has not been removed from its frame, there are no other visible condition issues to report.
