Ad Reinhardt (American, 1913-1967)

Untitled, from TEN WORKS + TEN PAINTERS, 1964, edition of 500 plus proofs, published by the Wadsworth Atheneum, Hartford. Unsigned, Ives-Sillman, New Haven dry stamp l.r., Fogg Art Museum duplicate stamp on the reverse. Color screenprint on paper, image size 12 x 12 in. (30.4 x 30.4 cm), unmatted and with original folder, unframed.
Condition: Margins 4 inches or more, hinge residue and annotations to the reverse.

Provenance: Property of the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard Art Museum, sold to benefit the acquisition fund.
Estimate $500-700

There are several very subtle surface rubs, visible only in certain kinds of (raking) light. Minute nicks to edges, almost exclusively to the lower edge.
