Gurley, Troy, N.Y., star at North, East and West reversed, vernier, needle ring divided 0-90º in four quadrants, 7-inch lg. focusing telescope supported on pear-shaped trunnions, vertical half-circle with vernier scale engraved Beaman Stadia Arc Patd. March 27. 1906, horizontal plate with opposing verniers, vial and four-screw leveling base, ht. level 8 1/2 in., in later pine case.
