American Electric Guitar, Gibson Incorporated, Kalamazoo, 1967, Model ES 345 TD, labeled STYLE GUITAR, GIBSON ES 345 TD, NUMBER 897186 IS HEREBY GUARANTEED..., ETC., the headstock with GIBSON and flowerpot pearl inlay, and stamped 897186 at the reverse, length of back 18 1/4 in., width of lower bout 16 1/16 in., with later case.

Later Guild vibrato, later pickup in middle postion, minor surface scratches and finish check.

The late Herb Staehr was known to fans of Ten Years After as their unofficial historian and chronicler. His book Alvin Lee and Ten Years After: A Visual History is considered the definitive work on the history of the band from its early days to the present.

This guitar was played by Alvin Lee at the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival, and was later modified by him to include a pickup in the middle postion.
