Condition: Retouch, craquelure.
N.B. Clifford Grayson's work, most often coastal landscapes filled with figures, blend elements of Realism and Impressionism. A Philadelphia native, Grayson attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts before moving to Paris to study with Jean Leon Gerome at the Ecole des Beaux Arts. He returned to Pennsylvania, working and exhibiting there before ultimately settling in Old Lyme, Connecticut.
