Philip Leslie Hale (American, 1865-1931)

Untitled/Girl Brushing Her Hair
Faintly initialed "P L H" l.r., identified on a label from the Rose Art Museum,
Waltham, Massachusetts, affixed to the reverse.
Conte crayon and chalk on paper, sight size 11 3/4 x 15 1/4 in. (29.8 x 40.0 cm), framed.
Condition: Toning, not examined out of frame.


Provenance: A private New England collection.
Estimate $2,000-4,000

Although the work has not been removed from the frame, there is even toning throughout. There is also a small discoloration or stain u.l. There is also some mild rippling.
