The River, 1916, published edition of 104 (Paff, 90). Signed "FrankWBenson" in pencil l.l., numbered "46" in pencil l.r., identified on labels from Frederick Keppel & Co., Inc., New York, and Kleeman Galleries, New York, on the reverse. Etching on Shogun paper with watermark, plate size 9 7/8 x 7 7/8 in. (25.1 x 20.1 cm),framed.
Condition: Margins 1 1/2 inches or more with deckled edges, annotations to lower margins and reverse, toning, unobtrusive rippling, subtle handling creases, several fox marks, brown paper tape to upper edge.

The right margin is 1 1/2 inches, the top is 1 3/4 inches, the left is 2 1/4 and the lower is 3 1/4. The handling creases are to the margins, especially the lower and side margins. The rippling is more concentrated on the upper margin.
