Diorama of the Schooner William M. Yerkes, by Robert F. Kurtz, Pride's Crossing Massachusetts, 1983, the model taken from an oil painting by S.F.M. Badger, Charlestown, Massachusetts, overall ht. 15, wd. 22 1/4, dp. 4 1/4 in., in a glazed molded mahogany frame with gilt liner.
Note: The William M. Yerkes was a bulk cargo vessel called a "coaster," which was used to transport essentials to local general stores, and later coal. She was built and owned by Dunn & Elliot at Thomaston, Maine, in 1901, but disappeared from records in 1917.
