Bohlin, c. second quarter 20th century, Hollywood, California, dark brown with round skirts, swell fork, large horn with small gold image of Paul Whiteman's face, with full floral carving and Whiteman's initials on the fenders, horn and rear of cantle, with Bohlin's shield stamp on upper seat, "Paul Whiteman was considered the most important Big Band Orchestra leader of the 1920s and in 1924 introduced the George Gershwin classic Rhapsody in Blue; Bing Crosby got his start with Paul Whiteman in 1929," lg. 26 1/2 in.
