Russian Silver Tankard, Moscow, 1851, by Sazikov, with Imperial warrant, tapered cylindrical, the peaked domed and lobed lid with bands of raised diamonds, body chased and embossed with lambrequin and zig-zag bands, over three spherical cartouches, one with the bust of a man holding a vodka cup, with beaded base, ear handle topped by thumbpiece formed as a rearing horse, ht. 8 1/2 in., approx. 26 troy oz.
