Description:

Pair of Classical Mahogany Child's Chairs, Kittredge & Blake, Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1825-30, the shaped crests on vasiform splats and shaped stiles continuing to saber legs, joined by a bowed seat rail, ht. 28 1/4, seat ht. 14 1/2 in.

Note: The front seat rails are both marked "K & B," and one is marked "Bruce." Alvah Kittredge & James Blake were cabinetmakers in the City Market Building on Brattle Street in Boston from at least 1830 to 1834.
