Description:

Northern Plains Beaded and Tacked Hide Knife Sheath, Crow, c. third quarter 19th century, buffalo rawhide with buffalo hide panel at top and cutout belt slot at side, top panel and single row down the side with multicolored geometric devices on a pink ground using seed, "real," and pony beads, fifteen remaining brass tacks, traces of red pigment, lg. 10 3/4 in.
