Portrait Daguerreotype of Thirteenth U.S. President, Millard Fillmore (1800-1874), America, c. 1850, sixth-plate daguerreotype, in an oval brass cut-out mat and gilded brass preserver frame, partial velvet-lined leather and pressed paper case, (minor imperfections), case 3 5/8 x 3 1/8 in. Note: A similar portrait taken c.1850 by the Boston studio of Albert Sands Southworth and Josiah Johnson Hawes is in the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institution.
