Double Six-Point Star and Floral Appliqued Cotton Quilt, Baltimore, c. 1842, the quilt pieced and appliqued with patterned chintz and printed calicos on a white cotton ground, central design of a six-point star surrounded by another six-point star and four triangles interspersed with and enclosed by cut-out floral, urn, and vine chintz designs stuffed and appliqued to the white background (broderie perse),floral and outline quilting stitches, white cotton backing, (minor toning and scattered light stains),134 x 125 in.
