Wilton, St. Day & Camborne, circumference scale divided 0-90 in four quadrants and needle ring with vernier divided 0-360, needle with clamp, brass cover, two slide-on sights and interchangeable vertical half-circle engraved Wilton, St. Day and Underlie in a Fathom, the arm with vernier, two bubble-levels and sights, ht. 10 1/2 in. , in dovetailed fitted mahogany case with label W. Wilton, Mathematical, Philosophical and Optical Instrument Maker, St. Day, Cornwall.

Note: William Wilton is listed as an horologist and instrument maker at St. Day, Cornwall, between 1830 - 1851, and at Market Place, Camborne from 1852 - 1856.
