Four-Vane Brass Vernier Surveyor's Compass by Sawyer & Hobby, with 6 1/2-inch silvered dial (slightly rubbed) signed Sawyer & Hobby, New York, central floriate-engraved ring, fleur-de-lis at North, needle ring divided 0-90 in four quadrants, blued-steel needle with clamp, shaped limb with two vials and screw-adjusted vernier, staff mount, and lid, lg. 17 in., (lacking sight vanes).
