Unusual Composition Shoulder Head Character Doll, modeled as an old woman, with downturned mouth, painted eyes, molded strands of hair emerging under white widow's cap, fabric body with leather mittens and jointed lower legs, in original blue printed cotton dress, checked apron, and straw bonnet, ht. 14 in., (shoulderplate repaired and nose repaired, face overpainted), and an albumen print of doll with original owner, by Chas. H. Lindesy, Nashua, N.H., with inscription on the reverse "Beatric Wallace Duffey (Clemins), 3 yrs old. Born 1887, Died 1975; a rubber cow and a black fabric doll.
