Two Dedham Pottery Experimental Vases, Hugh and William Roberston, Dedham, Massachusetts, c. 1900, an ovoid form in mottled green glossy glaze, incised "Dedham Pottery" with Hugh Robertson's initials; the other with a longer neck on bulbous body in mottled green glossy glaze, incised "Dedham Pottery" and with William Robertson's initials, ht. 9 1/8, 9 1/4 in.

Note: William Robertson was badly burned in a kiln explosion in 1905 that left him unable to use his hands to model pots. For further information see Kovels American Art Pottery, pg. 41.
