Leather Covered Traveling Sewing Case, America, late 19th century, small rectangular box covered in dark brown leather, with embossed floral metal clasp, the interior lined in lavender colored satin with velvet pincushion, a thimble holder with silver thimble, brown leatherette scissor holder and needle book with brown satin bow and trim, (clasp loose),2 1/2 x 4 x 3 1/2 in.

Note: This sewing case was probably made by and sold to the "outside world" by the Shakers.
