Large Western Wood and Beaded Hide Cradle with Suspended Doll, Ute, c. last quarter 19th century, the flat, round-top, tapered wood form covered in yellow stained buckskin with fringe hanging down the back and partially beaded at the top with multicolored geometric devices on a white ground, suspending from a buckskin thong is a partially beaded hide doll dress attached to a large hide-covered wooden head with red face paint, (some loss and damage to cradle), cradle ht. 44 in.
