Lot of Two Images of Kittens Sleeping Under Blankets. Both signed "...Grunewald" in pencil l.r. and monogrammed in the plate. Etchings with color on paper, plate sizes 8 1/8 x 9 3/4 in. (20.6 x 24.8 cm), framed.
Condition: Not examined out of frame.
N.B. One of these images is the famous "Chessie" cat used by the Chesapeake and Ohio railroad system (later known as the Chessie System). This images was adopted in the 1930s by the company as an advertising image to accompany the slogan "Sleep Like a Kitten."
