Samuel Finley Morse Badger (Charlestown, Massachusetts, active 1882-1913)

Portrait of the Schooner "The Fred Gray". A two masted ship identified on the bow, sailing with an island lighthouse off its starboard bow. Signed and dated "SFM Badger '94." Oil on canvas, 18 x 32 in., in original oak frame. Condition: Good - tiny hole, minor varnish inconsistencies, unlined.

Note: The passenger ship "The Fred Gray" arrived in New Bedford, Massachusetts November 12, 1877.
