Small Tuck Comb Wooden Doll, with Provenance, early 19th century, painted features, black hair with light curls around face, dark eyes, tiny red mouth, rosy cheeks (paint color missing from comb),peg-jointed wooden body (one arm and leg unpainted, probably replacement),ecru and lavender silk striped skirt, blouse, ht. 5 1/4 in.

Provenance: Found in New England, a note with doll states "This doll was the plaything (about 1817) of Eliza Thornton, sister of Lydia Thornton Cram."
