Miniature Portrait of a Young Gentleman. Unsigned. Watercolor on ivory, the sitter identified on a note as Johannes Josephus Kidder, Medford, Massachusetts, attending "Boy's school preparing for Harvard," seated on a classical sofa having red upholstery, with matching drapery and a column in the background, 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 in. (sight),framed in a red leather case with heavy gilt liner and velvet interior. Condition: Very good, minor abrasion to center background.
