Portrait of Sally R. Chamberlain. Unsigned. Watercolor, pen and ink and graphite on paper. The lady depicted is wearing a lace bonnet with a blue ribbon and a red dress, holding her bible and seated next to a table with books and writing material, on an fanciful floorcloth, with calligraphic inscription along the bottom: "Sally R. Chamberlain. Aged 65. 1832.," 8 5/8 x 7 5/8 in., in a molded giltwood frame. Condition: Toning, a couple of pinholes u.c.
