The Ship Emma Capn. Geo. Agry. Signed and dated "Eugene Grandin Havre 1856," titled below, ship shown flying an American flag. Mixed media including watercolor and pen and ink on paper, 16 1/2 x 20 3/4 in., in a gilt molded frame. Condition: Tear l.l. corner, scattered stains, abrasions and foxmarks, overall toning, not examined out of frame.

N.B. The vessel was built in Medford, Massachusetts in 1854 by J.T. Foster, for J.W. Ellsman of Charleston, South Carolina.
