Bert Cobb (American, d. 1935) Philip's Chief/Portrait of a Pointer. Signed (in pencil) l.r., titled l.l., identified on the reverse. Drypoint on paper, plate size 12 x 9 3/4 in., framed. N.B. "Philip's Chief" was the International Champion Pointer and Famous Field Trial Winner in 1930. This image was reproduced in Bert Cobb's book Hunting Dogs in 1931.
