Model Beam Steam Engine, built by Benjamin Shaw, 1874, with 5-inch painted cast-iron flywheel, single piston, pierced nickeled beam on twin cast-iron A-frame supports, two-ball governor and tool compartment, on cast-iron base with shaped aprons, wd. 9 1/2 in., with separate copper boiler, with valve and whistle, and accessories, in painted wood chest, and a framed oil on canvas portrait, possibly of the builder.
