Laura Coombs Hills (American, 1859-1930) "Jonquils and Narcissus" Signed "Laura Hills" u.l., label from Doll & Richards, Boston, on the reverse. Pastel on fine canvas, sight size 27 3/4 x 23 1/4 in. (70.2 x 59 cm),in original frame. Condition: Very subtle pigment displacement, not examined out of frame. Provenance: A private New England collection. N.B. Now retired, the consignor was a Boston florist, who supplied Laura Hills, as well as other still life artists, with materials.
