Federal Mahogany and Bird's-eye Maple Veneer Sofa, Massachusetts or New Hampshire, c. 1810, the raked veneered crest is divided into three panels by cross-banded mahogany inlay and flanked by reeded arms, with similar supports, terminating in down-scrolling terminals above ring-turned baluster forms; the slip seat above a bird's-eye maple veneered seat rail on four frontal reeded turned legs, ending in castors, old refinish, (minor reveneering),ht. 32 1/2, seat ht. 18, lg. 75 1/2 in.
