Interesting German Silver and Silver Filigree Spice Tower with American Inscription, mid-19th century, illegibly marked, with bird finial, tapered spire above stepped section with birds and pendant flags, central square spice section with hinged door, domed circular base on square foot, with finely chased Greek-key and foliate details and inscribed in Yiddish "Von den Kindern und Enkeln aus Amerika Zur diamantenen Hochzeit" and dated "17 January 1867," and corresponding Hebrew date, (lacking several flags),ht. 12 1/4 in.
